The skimmer winter bottle is made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and is very strong and durable. The gizzmo is a long, hollow plastic tube that is screwed into the skimmer opening to prevent it from breaking during the cold winter season. It is usually used when the pool is full of water. The gizzmo has two winter caps, which are suitable for 1.5" bottles.
